Another Challenging Specialty Space
for Styer & Associates
When you hear the term showroom, you typically think of a big space
with few furnishings and a bunch of paintings on the walls. Well, when Ingersoll Rand
met with Styer and discussed their showroom needs, the desired end result was much more than
the usual "gallery space."
The commercial refrigeration (Northeast Region) showroom division needed a demonstration
showroom which worked out to no less than a high-end retail grocery atmosphere -- similar to
a large-scale, retail supermarket such as what you would see in your new, nearby Acme, Genuardi's or
Publix markets.
The project scope brought in all facets of design for both aesthetics
as well as function for the space -- and included interior design and the
specifying of furniture, lighting, flooring, and & merchandising
equipment.
In addition to the showroom, there was a complete warehousing requirement which required
the complete design and layout (as well as developing of the warehousing standards) of the
warehouse space, and all finishes were specified by Styer & Associates.
